Kazakhstan, China contribute to provision of regional security and stability - Chinese Defense Minister

A.Dzhaksybekov held negotiations with Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie Tuesday in Beijing. The sides informed each other on state of affairs in the military field, achieved successes and priorities for the coming period. The delegation also discussed the topical issues of interaction of two countries in the field of defense. A.Dzhaksybekov highly appraised the Chinese commitment to the path of peaceful development and assured that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the cooperation with China both in bilateral format and within the UN, SCO and the CICA.
The Chinese Defense Minister in his turn noted that both sides make great contribution to the provision of security and stability of the region, extending the trade-economic, energy and humanitarian cooperation.
The Kazakh Defense Minister met with Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission General Guo Boxiong Tuesday as well. The sides noted that two states have deepened political cooperation, improve the strategic interaction and support each other in topical issues concerning interests of both sides in the military field for 17 years beginning from the moment of establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Kazakh delegation arrived in Shanghai city on December 23. The delegation plans to visit military facilities of the Shanghai Garrison.
