Kazakhstan, China pledge to deepen cultural cooperation
ASTANA. December 23. KAZINFORM The 7th sitting of the cultural and humanitarian cooperation subcommittee of the Sino-Kazakh Cooperation Committee took place in Beijing, the Kazakh Culture Ministry's press service reports.
Vice Minister of Culture Askar Buribayev led the Kazakh delegation.
The sides debated cooperation in the areas of culture, arts, cinema, mass media, print media, education, youth policy and tourism.
The parties proposed to advance further cooperation in culture and arts through exchange of practice and information, participation in international cultural events, organized by the two countries, and voiced support for the cooperation in playwriting and cinematography, mass media, encouraging mutual translations and publishing of literature, and so on.
The sitting ended with signing a protocol according to which the 8th meeting of the subcommittee is expected to take place next year in Astana.
