Kazakhstan claims gold at 2023 Junior World Weightlifting Championships

 Kazakhstani athlete Yedige Yemberdi claimed gold at the 2023 Junior World Weightlifting Championships held in Guadalajara, Mexico, Kazinform Agency cites Sports.kz. 

Yedige won a gold medal after lifting a total of 336kg (145+191) in the -81kg event at the tournament.

The 2023 Junior World Weightlifting Championships which brought together 229 athletes from 44 countries is to run through November 23.
