Kazakhstan commences SportArtFest contest among youth

The SportArtFest contest, bringing together teams from all regions of the country, is set to be held among the youth in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the country’s culture and information ministry.

Spearheaded by the culture and information ministry, SportArtFest, a part of the Ules project, seeks to engage youth in reading, art and sport as well as to form a proper youth environment.

The first three stages of the contest are set to be held at the regional level, whereas the final one – at the national level.

Each team will be made up of five people. Starting with an intellectual test, which includes questions about the Kazakh history, domestic and international sport as well as culture, teams are to move on to a sports challenge.

On stage three, teams will meet face to face in an IQ-battle based on five books, approved by the organizers.

The finalists are to compete in the national stage set to take place in Almaty. The prize fund of the contest is estimated at 1,600,000 tenge.
