Kazakhstan considers Korea as its leading partner - Kazakh Ambassador
As the Ambassador informed, "the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea will be marked in January next year. Over this period our countries laid a foundation of mutually beneficial relations."
D.Bakishev emphasized that leaders of the two states made great contribution to this process. Official visits of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Korea in April, 2010, and Korean President Lee Myung-bak to Kazakhstan in August, 2011, gave additional impetus to further all-round development of bilateral relations.
"Astana backs Seoul's policy on development of inter-Korean relations as well as peaceful solution of the DPRK nuclear issue, including the six-party talks. We stand for implementation of the corresponding resolutions of UN Security Council," the diplomat said.
Kazakhstan considers Korea as a leading partner. The sides pay special significance to interregional cooperation, exchange in the sphere of science and education, culture and sport. Kazakhstan is a large supplier of uranium to South Korea.
