Kazakhstan defeated by Brazil in mixed-team judo elimination round at Paris Olympics

Kazakhstan was defeated by Brazil 2-4 in the judo mixed team elimination round of 16 at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.

Contests include: Abiba Abuzhakynova vs Rafaela Silva (57kg, loss); Daniyar Shamshayev vs Daniel Cargnin (73kg, win), Esmigul Kuyulova vs Ketleyn Quadros (70kg, loss), Abylaikhan Zhubanazr vs Rafael Macedo (90kg, win), Kamila Berlikash vs Beatriz Souza (+70kg, loss), and Nurlykhan Sharkhan vs Leonardo Goncalves (+90kg, loss).

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstani boxers Saken Bibossynov and Karina Ibragimova were upset at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are set to run from July 26 through August 11. The Games brought together 10,500 athletes from 206 national Olympic committees. Kazakhstan is represented by 80 athletes in 25 sports.
