Kazakhstan sacks men’s national boxing team coaches
The Kazakhstan Boxing Federation held its coaching council following the Paris Olympics during which it was decided to dismiss the entire men’s boxing coaching staff, Kazinform News Agency cites the Federation.
Such a decision was made jointly with the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Tourism and Sport Ministry of Kazakhstan.
So, head coach Myrzagali Aitzhanov and 10 more coaches as well as Vice President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Aziz Kozhambetov were relieved of their posts.
Kazakhstani honored coach Tursyngali Yedilov was appointed to the post of an advisor to the President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation.
The new members of the boxing coaching staff are to be revealed later, the Federation informed.
Kazakhstan claimed a mere two medals in the boxing events at the recent Olympic Games in Paris.
To note, Nurbek Oralbay brought the country a men’s 80kg silver and Nazym Kyzaibay claimed a women’s 50kg bronze.
