Kazakhstan expands cooperation with Austria and Hungary

ASTANA. March 1. KAZINFORM Delegation of civil servants of the Kazakh President's Office, Prime Minister's Office and the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of Kazakhstan with the head of the authority Alikhan Baimenov paid a visit to Austria and Hungary, the press service of the agency reports.

The Kazakh delegation met with the leadership of the Austrian Government Office and Austrian Academy of State Administration and visited International Anti Corruption Academy (IACA), Federal administration, and the State Government of Upper Austria and Vels city.

Public Service system was presented; the issue of cooperation within regional hub on sharing experience and acknowledgement in the public service field had been discussed.

During the visit to Austria, Kazakhstan delegation got acquainted with the system of government at the federal, state and municipal levels, the practice of selection and promotion of staff, the system of training of civil servants including senior management corps.

The delegation also visited the Hungarian capital Budapest. A memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Kazakhstan Agency for Civil Service Affairs and the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice of Hungary was signed during the visit. In addition, bilateral meetings with the State Secretary of Ministry of Public Administration and Justice of Hungary Marcell Biro, Minister for liaising with international financial organizations Mihaly Varga, Rector of the National University for Civil Service Andras Patyi.

According to Alikhan Baimenov, Kazakhstan is establishing cooperation in the field of public service with the developed countries. And today, Kazakhstan's system of civil service has been recognized as the leading international expert in the region.
