Kazakhstan's ice cream exports hit record high
Kazakhstan experienced a significant increase in its ice cream exports, reaching a historical peak of 9,800 tons between January and November of 2024, that is 70% more compared to the same period of 2023, Kazinform News Agency reports.
According to the experts of the First Credit Bureau, ice cream exports hit record high since 2002.
The primary consumers of Kazakhstani ice cream are three countries, including Russia (which accounts for 69% of the total volume), followed by Kyrgyzstan (20%) and Uzbekistan (9%). Notably, there was a substantial increase in exports to Russia, where the volume of purchases almost doubled.
Despite the record-high export volumes, ice cream production in Kazakhstan declined slightly. From January to November 2024, the production volume was 49.4 thousand tons, marking a 3% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year. Imports decreased by 3% to 12.5 thousand tons.
