Kazakhstan faces desperate shortage of maths teachers – Education Ministry
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan schools are short of teachers in mathematics, this has been reported in the Ministry of Education and Science.
According to the ministry, total 2427 teachers including 1169 in rural areas are needed in Kazakhstan. Mathematics teachers are of the greatest need - 193 (in rural areas - 89), chemistry teachers - 84 (64), English language teachers - 76 (69), Physics teachers - 77 (56) and teachers of primary school - 102 (23). In 2013-14 school year, 294,897 teachers worked in Kazakhstan's schools.
