Kazakhstan figure skater Denis Ten awarded Silver at the World Cup
ASTANA. March 16. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani athlete Denis Ten showed second in the short program at the World Figure Skating Championship, which is taking place in Canadian London, the correspondent Vesti.kz informs.
The leader of the short program in the men's figure skating is a Canadian figure skater Patrick Chan who scored 98.37 points. This result has become the best in that program in the history of the competition with the new judging system.
Ten managed to score 91.56 points for his performance. The third result belongs to another representative of Canada - Kevin Reynolds (85.16).
Kazakhstan's athlete Abzal Rakimgaliev, gaining 59.14 points, took the 28th place and could not get into a voluntary program.
The competition in the free skating among men has been held on Friday.
