Kazakhstan-Finland friendship to move to new level ? Tarja Halonen
HELSINKI. March 24. KAZINFORM /Yernur Akanbai/ Finland considers Kazakhstan an important country in Central Asia. President of the country Tarja Halonen has announced it at the press conference after the talks with Kazakh Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev in Helsinki today.
?We consider Kazakhstan an important country in this region. Finland will continue to support the Kazakhstan-EU cooperation?, Tarja Halonen said.
The Finnish President highlighted that Finland supported Kazakhstan?s striving for joining the WTO. ?We are interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan, its natural resources. Therefore we intend to develop multilateral cooperation between the two states?, she noted.
Alongside, Tarja Halonen noted today?s negotiations would lay the foundation for a new stage of cooperation between the two countries. ?This cooperation will continue. Our friendship will move to a new level.
