Kazakhstan for 3rd time in a row wins the FIRST Global Challenge title
Kazakhstan won the gold medal in the FIRST Global Grand Challenge Award nominations at the world’s largest Olympics-style robotics competition, the FIRST Global Challenge, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh Enlightenment Ministry.
Kazakh students for the third time in a row grabbed the championship title. This year the country's team consisted of Yerdaulet Turgenbayev, Alfiya Baizhakyp, Nurzhan Kokeyev, Doszhan Dairan and Kadylbek Dastan. Their coaches are Assylbek Murzakhmetov, Nurdaulet Dosamgambet and Dulat Baitulenov.
They also received silver medals in the Albert Einstein Award for the FIRST Global International Excellence (Overall Winners) and Robots Skills Challenge nominations for their outstanding engineering developments.
Notably, the country’s USTEM FOUNDATION pocketed silver in the Al-Khwarizmi Award for Outstanding Supporter for supporting young engineers.
As reported earlier, Kazakh students took home gold in Geneva in 2022 and Singapore in 2023.
