Kazakhstan Foreign Minister to visit Malaysia for two days

KUALA LUMPUR. April 16. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov will make his first official visit to Malaysia, lasting two days, beginning tomorrow.

While here, he is scheduled to meet his counterpart, Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues, according to a Wisma Putra statement issued here today.

Both ministers are also expected to discuss the upcoming two-day state visit of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, Bernama reports.

"Malaysia welcomes Kazykhanov's visit, which is seen as a reflection of the existing close relations between Malaysia and Kazakhstan," said the statement.
