Kazakhstan, Germany sign Declaration on Cooperation
Following the talks between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Federation Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, the Joint Declaration on Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany was signed, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The members of the official delegations inked the following documents:
- Memorandum of mutual understanding on technical issues of cooperation between central banks between Deutsche Bundesbank and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Memorandum of intent to create a Kazakh-Germany Institute of Science and Technology at the Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University signed between the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany;
- Memorandum of intent to establish a Kazakh-German School signed between the Kazakh Enlightenment Ministry, Samruk Kazyna National Welfare Fund, Community of Germans of Kazakhstan "Wiedergeburt" (Revival) and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
Earlier it was reported that President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev greeted Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz at the presidential palace Akorda.
It is expected that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is to take part in the second Summit “Central Asia + Germany,” set to discuss strategic cooperation and partnership in a wide range of areas, including trade and economic interaction and realization of joint investment projects.
