Kazakhstan grabs gold at Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Spain

Kazakh Yedyge Yemberdi won a gold medal at the now-running 2024 Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Leon, Spain, Kazinform News Agency learnt from Olympic.kz.

He won the title in the men’s 89 kg lifting 352 kg in a total (153kg+199kg).

Iranian Alireza Abbaspoor took home silver with a total of 351 kg, while Colombia’s Jokser Albornoz rounded out the top three with 350 kg.

As earlier reported, another Kazakh weightlifter Yerassyl Saulebekov took bronze in the men’s 81kg finals.
