Kazakhstan harvests over 15.6 million hectares or 99.3% of the grain cultivated areas: Kazakhstan MA
ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM - Now over 15.6 million hectares or 99.3% of the harvested acreage are cleaned in Kazakhstan, Minister of Agriculture Asylzhan Mamytbekov said at the Government session, the web-site of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reports.
"For today over 15.6 million hectares or 99.3% of the harvested acreage grain are threshed, in the initial weight of 20.8 million tons of grain at productivity of 13.3 c/hectare," A.Mamytbekov said.
Thus it was necessary to clean 114.6 thousand hectares of grain crops, including corn.
According to the minister, because of a frequent precipitation during cleaning in the northern region harvest works in Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions still proceed, amounts of works on a side job and grain drying increase.
