Kazakhstan has huge potential to withstand crisis - SamrukKazyna Chairman

SANYA. November 14. KAZINFORM  /Ruslan Suleimenov/  Yesterday in live broadcast Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev said Kazakhstan would stand the financial crisis even it continued with the same power. Chairman of SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund Kairat Kelimbetov shared his opinion on the country's further development and ways of overcoming the crisis.

"Kazakhstan has great potential to stand the crisis compared with other countries since this crisis did not strike Kazakhstan much. The President adopted new forms of the fight with the recession like state support of the banks. Creation of the  anti-crisis operator represented by SamrukKazyna became a non-traditional response to the crisis since it allows to develop new sectors of economy and shows state's strategic role in creation of new economy in Kazakhstan", K. Kelimbetov stressed.

"Due to forward looking policy of the Head of the State none of the banks in the country announced bankruptcy. We could keep people's trust to the banks which is of paramount importance", the Chairman of SamrukKazyna said.

"Despite the crisis, banking sector and real estate sector were restored. It should be noted that about KZT 240 bln were allocated for completion of construction of the houses in Almaty and Astana cities. These houses will be financed fully and housing investors will receive their flats", he resumed.
