Kazakhstan has more than 31,000 sports facilities - T.Dosmukhanbetov

ASTANA. March 28. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakhstan has more than 31,000 sports facilities. Minister of Tourism and Sport Temirkhan Dosmukhanbetov has made it public at the Governmental Hour in the Majilis.

"In 2010 the number of sports facilities increased by 536 entities, and today the country counts more than 31,000 facilities. As a result, 380,000 people joined those, who are systematically engaged in physical culture and sports, their total number makes 2.9 mln people," T.Dosmukhanbetov said.

The Minister informed that last year 17,000 sport events were carried out .
