Kazakhstan hopes to clinch boxing gold at Rio 2016 Olympics
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan is hoping to haul at least one gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, head of the Olympic Boxing Training Center Yermakhan Ibraimov told journalists on Monday.
According to him, Daniyar Yeleussinov can clinch boxing gold in Men's 69kg category. Team Kazakhstan also pins high hopes on other boxers Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, Adilbek Niyazymbetov, Ivan Dychko and Abylaikhan Zhussupov. "We are hoping that our boxers will collect at least four medals. As you know, more than 200 countries will partake in this prestigious sports event. There are only 10 gold medals in boxing to grab. But Kazakhstan has a chance to win 1 or 2 gold medals," he added.
