Kazakhstan, Hungary to coop in modernization of public service system

Representatives of the Presidential Administration, Prime Minister's Office and Agency for Civil Service Affairs led by its chairman Alikhan Baimenov visited the Hungarian capital on February 25.

Members of the Kazakh delegation met with Marcell Biro, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice of Hungary, Mihály Varga, the Minister of National Economy and co-chairman of the Kazakh-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission for Commercial and Economic Cooperation, and András Patyi, the rector of the Hungarian National University of Public Service.

Following results of the negotiations, a memorandum of mutual understanding was signed between the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice of Hungary.

In the course of the visit, the delegation from Kazakhstan familiarized with Hungarian experience in modernization of public service system, creation of supreme administrative corps, training of civil servants, fight against corruption as well as discussed certain areas of cooperation within a regional public service hub.
