Kazakhstan implemented about 30% of draft recommendations of National Human Rights Commission
ASTANA. November 26. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakhstan has implemented 30% of draft recommendations of the National Human Rights Action Plan, Kazinform cites Secretary of the Kazakhstan Human Rights Commission Tastemir Abishev who has said it at the NGOs' Forum being held within the OSCE Review Conference today.
According to him, about 30% of draft recommendations of the National Human Rights Action Plan were implemented as of November 1, 2010. "In compliance with the National Action Plan Kazakhstan has ratified the Hague Convention on Inter-Country Adoption and the Convention on Protection of the Rights of Labor Migrants and Members of their Families from the CIS", T. Abishev said.
He noted that our country had adopted the Law on prevention of household violence and the Law on equal rights and opportunities for men and women.
T. Abishev read out also several recommendations given by the Commission to the state bodies. In particular, he proposed to study and Commission's experience in development of the National Human Rights Action Plan.
