Kazakhstan increases investments into Georgia

BAKU-TBILISI. KAZINFORM The seventh sitting of the Kazakh-Georgian intergovernmental commission took place in Tbilisi to debate bilateral economic cooperation issues.

1st Deputy Minister of Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek led the Kazakh delegation, while Deputy Economy Minister Mikhail Dzhanelidze represented Georgia. According to the latter, Kazakhstan and Georgia observe growing economic cooperation and volume of investments year after year. "Georgia's exports to Kazakhstan grew 66%. Besides, the volume of investments of Kazakhstani companies into Georgia increased," Mikhail Dzhanelidze said.

"We also enjoy fruitful cooperation in the sphere of tourism. As is known, construction of hotel facilities is underway in Borzhomi through joint investments. We plan to complete it this year. It is the one brightest examples of our successful cooperation. We also are in talks to increase through traffic vai Georgia from Asia to Europe," he added.
