Kazakhstan interested in cooperation with Vietnam

HANOI. October 31. KAZINFORM /Russlan Suleimenov/ As a part of the state visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Vietnam the 1st Kazakh-Vietnamese Business Forum completed its work today in Hanoi.

Addressing the forum, Kazakh Deputy Premier - Industry and New Technologies Minister Asset Issekeshev noted that Kazakhstan is implementing the forced industrial and innovation development program and is interested in widening cooperation, in particular, with Vietnam, one of the rapidly developing economies of Southeast Asia.

"We have signed 6 agreements today. One of the key agreements is the establishment of a Business Council that coupled with other intergovernmental treaties will pave the foundation for stepping up cooperation of our businessmen," he said. According to him, it is essential to find out areas of common interest in industry, trade and economic cooperation at large, and determine the concrete action plan.
