Kazakhstan interested in expanding exchange of experience in education with Germany - Nazarbayev
President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced it at the opening ceremony of the Eurasian Club in Berlin.
"Modern Kazakhstan gives priority to innovations and economy based on the knowledge. There is a good basis for this, the population's literacy rate makes 99.5 percent in Kazakhstan," the Head of State said.
The President told about the educational reforms conducted in our country and noted what Kazakhstan pays to development of an infrastructure for scientific and innovative activity.
According to N.Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan will increase the total volume of investments in science to one percent of the country's GDP by 2014. This figure will increase in the future. One of the most important projects in the sphere of education became a new international university opened in the capital of Kazakhstan. A model of this educational institution is based on the experience of leading universities of the world. Moreover, 20 intellectual schools were created in Kazakhstan.
N.Nazarbayev emphasized that introduction of IT technologies in the educational institutions in Kazakhstan was brought to the level of state policy.
