Kazakhstan invested USD 1 bln into Kyrgyz economy

ASTANA. May 10. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan agreed to boost mutually profitable cooperation in the sphere of energy, agriculture, transport and communications, mining and processing industry and tourism, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said after the meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart.

"Relationship between our countries may be expanded. Currently commodity turnover amounts to USD 750 million upon results of the previous year. It is 27% more than in 2010," President Nazarbayev noted.

 In addition, the Head of State stressed Kazakhstani investments into Kyrgyz economy made USD 1 billion.

 "Our partnership is of paramount importance not only in terms of economy but also in terms of security of our countries," Nursultan Nazarbayev concluded.
