Kazakhstan & Iran strengthen naval cooperation

ASTANA. November 7. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's delegation headed by Rear Admiral Zhandarbek Zhanzakov, the Head of the naval forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has visited the Islamic Republic of Iran, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.

During the visit the Commander of the Navy of Kazakhstan held a series of meetings which discussed issues of expansion of the Kazakh-Iranian cooperation in the naval sphere. The Kazakh side stressed the importance of collaboration with the Caspian countries to strengthen good-neighborly relations for preservation of peace and stability in the region.

In addition Zhanzakov went around the training centers of Iran, in particular, the Naval base and the Khomeini Navy Institution where he familiarized himself with the latest developments and new technologies of the Iranian colleagues.
