The interaction between Moscow and Astana keeps developing in all areas, Vladimir Putin said following the meeting with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held behind closed doors, Kazinform News Agency reports.

"Indeed, Kazakhstan is our strategic partner and reliable ally. When we discussed the issues of interaction behind closed doors, we focused on the problems that arise within the framework of the bilateral process. But the most important thing is that there is a desire to seek answers to all these questions and find them. I do not know a single issue that we could not resolve together. With such an attitude, we will be able to achieve great success. We are pleased very much with the fact that Kazakhstan is achieving impressive results under your leadership, because the volume of cooperation is increasing. Despite all the difficulties of today, this interaction is only expanding, becoming interesting and mutually beneficial for both sides," said the President of Russia.

During the meeting, the presidents discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in the trade-economic, transport-logistics, fuel and energy, scientific-technical and cultural-humanitarian fields.
