Kazakhstan, Japan to expand rare earth elements development
ASTANA. May 2. KAZINFORM Japan and Kazakhstan's cooperation in the field of rare earth elements development and extraction will be expanded, Japan Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yukio Edano said in follow-up of the meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov.
According to Mr Edano, Japan has always been interested in developing cooperation with Kazakhstan. And, as a result, the countries have inked a wide range of documents in the field of rare earth elements development and extraction. "I believe that Kazakhstan's presence in this area will be expanded," Japanese diplomat noted.
"I'm quite confident Japan can offer a lot in this respect, because we have high technologies," Mr Edano stressed.
