Kazakhstan joins Bologna process

ALMATY. February 5. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Kazakhstan has joined the Bologna process to promote the image of Kazakhstan in the world educational arena and ensure that our diplomas have the force in Europe. Minister of Education of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuimebayev has informed of it today in Almaty during the working session held in the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University; Kazinform correspondent reports.

According to the Minister the Ministry is working in this area and a number of international seminars have been already held. In the Minister?s view, Kazakhstan?s higher education is on the road to the Bologna process. Following the results of the working session the resolution on harmonization and integration into the world system of higher education and signing of Bologna Declaration by Kazakhstan will be adopted tomorrow. The presidents of 31 universities of Kazakhstan including those signed Magna Charta Universitatum (Bologna, Italy) will take part in the session.
