Kazakhstan Judo Championship kicks off in Aktobe

The Kazakhstan Judo Championship qualification commenced in Aktobe on Friday, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.

One of the leaders of the Kazakh judo team Nurkanat Serikbayev was sensationally defeated by Talgat Orynbassar in the first round of the men’s 60kg. Thus, Nurkanat finished his performance at the tournament.

It bears to remind that Serikbayev won the Kazakhstan Judo Championship in 2023.

The Kazakhstan Judo Championship brought together over 500 judokas from all over Kazakhstan. The competition is set to run through November 18.

The new season’s composition of the Kazakh national squad will be formed based on the results of the ongoing event.
