Kazakhstan, Kuwait deepen cooperation in tourism
The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the State of Kuwait held a roundtable meeting to promote Kazakhstan's tourism potential. Representatives of well-known tourist companies, leading media outlets of Kuwait, as well as Jazeera Airways attended the event, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported Nov 25.
In his remarks, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Kuwait Azamat Berdibay spoke about the potential of Kazakhstan as a tourist destination, detailing each region and natural attractions worth visiting for foreign tourists.
He noted that Kazakhstan and Kuwait, despite their geographical remoteness, have a mutual interest in tourism. Ambassador Berdibay emphasized the growing interest in Kazakhstan among the tourists from the Persian Gulf countries.
He said that Kazakhstan offers visa-free regime for citizens of more than 80 countries, including citizens of the State of Kuwait. Direct flights between the cities of Almaty and Al-Kuwait, carried out by Jazeera Airways, enable thousands of Kuwaitis to visit Kazakhstan.
As part of the event, the guests were demonstrated Kazakhstan.travel internet portal, created for the convenience of tourists planning to visit Kazakhstan.
The sides agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Kazakhstan tourism association and the Kuwait travel association in the near future.
