Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan trade turnover exceeded $1.2bn in 2023

Mutual trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan stood at 1 billion 232 million US dollars, rising by 14.6%, in 2023, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubayev said, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports. 

The minister pointed out that amid the difficult geopolitical conditions, the trade turnover between the two countries has demonstrated steady growth in the recent years.

In January-November 2023, the mutual trade turnover stood at 1 billion 232 million US dollars, a 14.6% increase compared to the same period of 2022. Upon the instruction of the heads of the two states, the sectoral government bodies are working to increase the figure to up to 2 billion US dollars in the near future, said Kulubayev.
