Kazakhstan launches its first-ever wolframite production
For the first time ever Kazakhstan put onstream the wolframite production in Almaty region, Kazinform News Agency quotes the Kazakh Industry and Construction Ministry.
The project worth 300 million US dollars was developed in compliance with international ecological norms and industry standards. It generates up to 1,000 jobs for local experts and is expected to process 3.3 million tons of ore to produce wolframite concentrate 65%. The project is a historical event for Kazakhstan’s mining industry called to strengthen the country’s standings in the global rare earth metals market.
The project is run by Aral Kegen LLP, part of the Jiaxin International Resources Investment Ltd, as well as Jiangxi Copper Corporation, China Railway Construction Company, China Civil Engineering Construction Company and Ever Trillion International Singapore PTE LTD.
