Kazakhstan, Lithuania sign agr't on information exchange on tax matters

ASTANA. December 12. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakh Finance Ministry and Lithuanian State Tax Inspection under the Ministry of Finance signed the agreement on exchange of information on tax matters on Monday in Astana.

"This agreement will facilitate efficient interaction on international transactions; provide legal protection of interests of our citizens who work in the territory of Lithuania and Lithuanian nationals working in our country," Chairman of Kazakh Tax Committee Daulet Yergozhin said.

According to the Kazakh Finance Ministry, the document will help avoid double taxation and monitor the legality of financial transactions.
