Kazakhstan, Luxembourg sign agreement on air communication

Following results of the negotiations, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan Azat Bekturov and Claude Wiseler, Luxembourg's Sustainable Development and Infrastructure Minister, signed the intergovernmental agreement on air communication. The agreement has been worked out by the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications in line with the instruction of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan after his visit to Luxembourg in May 2012.
The document will serve as a credible foundation for long-term cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of scheduled air services. It is worth mentioning, the agreement has been prepared taking into account the EU legislation. Hence, all EU airline companies can conduct flights between Luxembourg and Kazakhstan.
In the course of the meeting the sides also inked the Memorandum of Understanding enabling Cargolux, one of the leading cargo airlines worldwide, to render scheduled air services between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg. In addition, Luxembourg says it is ready to offer short-term courses on aviation security and flight safety to Kazakhstani specialists.
