Kazakhstan managed to keep peace and interethnic concord, effective development of economy and political system- German Ex Foreign Minister

ASTANA. February 8. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met with ex Vice Chancellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Hans-Dietrich Genscher, said press service of the Head of State.

Nursultan Nazarbayev hearty thanked H.D. Genscher for greetings on the 20^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and expressed his gratitude for the understanding and support of Kazakhstan since the first days of independence.

In its turn Hans-Dietrich Genscher noted that for the period of sovereignty under the leadership of N.A. Nazarbayev Kazakhstan managed to keep and ensure peace and interethnic concord, effective development of economy and political system.

H.D. Genscher was one of originators of Kazakhstan - German relations. In 1991 he was among the first west politicians who came to Kazakhstan for formal visit. Also he is the author of introduction to the book by Nursultan Nazarbayev "Kazakhstan's Way" in German, where he highly appreciates the role of the Head of State in building modern Kazakhstan.
