Kazakhstan marks Independence Day in Minsk
The event, initiated by the Kazakh Embassy to Belarus enjoyed participation of 500 guests. Reps of the President's Administration, Government, deputies, foreign affairs ministry executives, diplomatic corps, international organizations, business and academic circles, media, public, Kazakh Diaspora, veterans and Kazakh students studying there attended the reception.
Addressing those present Kazakh Ambassador Anatoly Smirnov noted in the earliest day of our independence President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said in his state-of-the-nation address that our children would live in a country that would not stay in the shade of world events and come to the fore by 2030. We have achieved the tasks set earlier than 33 years, he added.
Analyzing the country's way for the past 20 years the ambassador highlighted successful political and economic reforms, success on the way of building up a democratic state with market economy.
A photo exhibition featuring the beauty of Kazakhstan's nature, Astana rampant development and cultural and historic heritage was opened there.
