Kazakhstan may team up with France to prepare for EXPO-2017 in Astana

"Within the forthcoming EXPO-2017 event in Astana, French partners are ready to offer their know how and expertise in the sphere of urban development, architecture, energy efficiency and community facilities," French Minister of Foreign Trade Nicole Briqc said in a video address to participants of the session of the Kazakh-French Business Council.
The Astana-hosted session brought together reps of more than 40 French companies. Many of these companies already work closely with Kazakhstan on promising joint investment projects.
The Business Council was established in 2008 at the initiative of the presidents of France and Kazakhstan. The sessions of the council are held twice a year in Astana and Paris.
As reported earlier, on February 12, French company IVEKO BUS and "Astana LRT" JSC signed an agreement on the purchase of 350 IVEKO buses functioning on natural gas that are to cruise the streets of Astana city.
