Kazakhstan names new First Deputy Chairman of National Security Committee

Ali Altynbayev has been named the First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

By order of the Head of State, Ali Altynbayev has been appointed the First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, relieved of his previous post, reads the statement.

From 2001 to 2020, Altynbayev held executive and senior management positions on the State Revenue Committee of the Finance Ministry of Kazakhstan.

In 2020 and 2021, he took management positions in the department of economic investigations in the Agency for Financial Monitoring of Kazakhstan.

In 2021 and 2022, he was the chair of the State Revenue Committee of the Finance Ministry of Kazakhstan.

In June 2022, he was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.
