Kazakhstan names new judges-coordinators on interaction with mass media
Kazakhstan names new judges-coordinators on interaction with mass media, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan.
The new judges-coordinators on interaction with mass media are assigned to ensure awareness among the public of the ongoing changes in the judicial system, the professional activity of judges and court officials, as well as proceedings.
Aslan Tukiyev, Chairman of the Collegium for administrative cases of the Supreme Court, is a new judge-coordinator on interaction with mass media for administrative proceedings;
Yerkesh Mauken, Supreme Court judge, is a judge-coordinator on interaction with mass media for criminal proceedings;
Marina Borovik, Supreme Court judge, is a judge-coordinator on interaction with mass media for civil proceedings.
The new appointments came as part of the country’s search for greater access of mass media to public trials and ensuring media receives quality information regarding closed proceedings, increasing the qualification of judges-coordinators and courts’ press service officials, interaction with mass media with the use of modern communication tools, and so on.
