Kazakhstan names new leader of men’s boxing team
Asian champion Aikek Oralbay has been named the new leader of the men’s boxing team of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the National Olympic Committee of the country.
Aikek Oralbay took over from world champion Asslanbek Shymbergenov as the leader of the men’s boxing team of Kazakhstan.
Boxer Aikek Oralbay reached the 2024 Paris Olympics quarterfinals, where he lost to Loren Alfonso of Azerbaijan.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstani boxers are to take part in the ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships, set to run from November 11 to December 12 in Amman, Jordan.
It was also reported that Kazakhstan claimed the first place at the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships in the UAE with a total of 15 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze medals.
