Kazakhstan names new President of Togyzkumalak Federation

Akim Tursun has been appointed as the President of the Togyzkumalak Federation of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The candidacy of Akim Tursun, who previously served as the Federation’s Vice President, was backed by the heads of regional federations, Togyzkumalak players.

The Federation’s former President Alikhan Baimenov was confirmed as the Honorary President of the Organization and will continue to serve as the President of the World Togyzkumalak Federation.

The Kazakhstan Togyzkumalak Federation has also appointed four Vice Presidents Batyrbek Kulekeev, Sholpan Kadyrova, Maksat Shotayev and Daulet Abdykarimov.

Journalist Rishat Askarbekuly has been named the Federation’s PR director.

Earlier it was reported that 29-year-old Kazakhstani Adilkhan Kopabayev had been appointed Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs for Central Asia +Armenia at Apple Inc.
