Kazakhstan names new vice minister of culture and information
Aibek Sydykov has been named the new Vice Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh government.
Born in 1983 in Almaty city, Sydykov graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Starting out as a tour guide at the Museum of Almaty History in 2006, later Sydykov took on the role of the museum’s director.
Sydykov headed the Almaty Museums Association in 2015/16.
In 2016/22 years, he acted as the museum department head, deputy director of the Centre for the Rapprochement of Cultures.
Prior to his current appointment, Sydykov served as the deputy director of the National Museum of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the Kazakh Interior Ministry had appointed the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of National Guard.
