Kazakhstan negotiating supply of Aktobe Rail and Beam Plant products to Pakistan

Pakistan is interested in Kazakhstan's energy resources and grain. Kazakh Ambassador to Pakistan Yerzhan Kanafin said it on the sidelines of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan roundtable meeting on trade and economic cooperation held in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.

We also can negotiate the issues of machine-building and many other areas. Currently, they [Pakistan - edit] are restoring their railroad network. There is a rail and beam plant in Aktobe. We are negotiating this issue [supply - edit] currently, said Yerzhan Kanafin.

According to him, Pakistani market has a high potential.

Our task today is unlock this market and show the existing potential. The population of Pakistan is 242 million people, this is the world’s fifth largest market. They are interested in our products, for instance foodstuffs. Given their huge market, they are keen on supply of our products, the Kazakh Diplomat noted.
