Kazakhstan, North Macedonia eye greater cooperation
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova as part of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Akorda reports.
During the meeting, Tokayev highlighted that North Macedonia is a key partner of Kazakhstan in Europe and expressed commitment to enhance cooperation in priority areas.
For her part, Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova thanked the Kazakh President for his contribution to bilateral relations and pointe to potential for further strengthening interaction. She commended the role of Kazakhstan in the international arena as a middle power.
The interlocutors drew special attention to prospects for deepening cooperation in trade-economic and investment spheres as well as simplification of a visa regime for citizens of both countries. During the meeting, the sides agreed to promote contacts between business circles of Kazakhstan and North Macedonia.
In conclusion, President Tokayev invited Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to visit Kazakhstan.
