Kazakhstan not to curb grain exports
ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan is not going to curb grain exports due to the recent tenge rate adjustment," Agriculture Minister Asylzhan Mamytbekov said today answering the journalists' questions in Astana.

According to him, the country has not put restrictions on grain export for the past six years. "We will further maintain this stand." he stressed. As earlier reported, the country gathered 19 mn tons of net grain in 2013. The forecast for potential grain export this year comprises 9 mln tons that is 1.9 mln tons or 26% more against the last marketing year. Since July 2013, the beginning of the marketing year, until February 1, 2014 Kazakhstan has exported above 5.3 mln tons, including flour in grain equivalent, that is 25% more against the same period of the previous year.
