Kazakhstan numbers 10 mln mobile Internet users

ASTANA. March 19. KAZINFORM "The number of mobile Internet users in Kazakhstan has amounted to 10 million people," Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev said at the government session on Tuesday.

"Currently, the number of people who use mobile Internet in Kazakhstan makes 10 million. That is very important, especially for the popularization of e-Government via mobile devices," Minister Zhumagaliyev said.

In his words, a version of e-Government for mobile devices has been created thanks to these whooping figures.

"We demonstrated this app to President Nursultan Nazarbayev on 23 December 2012 and now suggest transferring all e-services into mobile apps in order to promote e-Government among the people of Kazakhstan," Mr. Zhumagaliyev concluded.
