Kazakhstan observes employment growth and rise in salaries – analysis
Within the Program KZT 133.7 bln has been allocated this year for repaire, construction and reconstruction of all the facilities of all investment directions. KZT 88.8 bln was allocated from the state budget and KZT 44.89 was allocated from the local budget. For the period of the first 9 months of the year around KZT 121.5 bln has been utilized which is 91 percent from the whole amount. The work on 2,633 investment projects have already been finished.
In total, 129 thousand job positions have been created within the realization of the Program. 123, 600 people were employed under the Program. More than 68 thousand people had trainings, more than 35 thousand people finished their education and 24 thousand of them were employed.
The agreements with 13 thousand enterprises and organizations were signed on employment of graduates and 36 thousand of young specialists were sent to the organizations by employment agencies.
In order to create social jobs local executive bodies signed agreements with 6 thousand organizations where 33 thousand unemployed were hired.
In whole, in July 2010 the number of employed people in Kazakhstan made 8116.5 thousand which is 2.8 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Besides, a series of measures on increasing pensions were taken this year.
According to the official data, 1684.5 thousand pensioners were registered as of October 1, 2010.
The size of pension payments for all pension receivers was raised from January 1, 2010.
The minimum pension payment made KZT 18, 325 , the average pension amounted to KZT 27, 565 and the maximum pension in Kazakhstan made KZT 39, 893.
In the sphere of social security there were also rise in payments. On the instructions of the Head of State the amount of state welfare benefits was raised by 9 percent.
The measures taken for stabilizing the social economic situation in the country helped reduce the level of poverty. The level of poverty in the country made 8.2 percent which is 4.4 percent lower than last year's indicators.
As for the per capita income of the population for 2010 it amounted to KZT 39 thousand which is 15 percent more than the last year.
KZT 1.12 bln has been allocated from the state budget as social aid payment to maintain low-income families this year. KZT 2.96 bln has been allocated as state allowances for children under 18 and KZT 4.1 bln as housing subsidy.
