Kazakhstan opened its Honorary Consulate in Kyushu region of Japan

ASTANA. December 23. KAZINFORM Yesterday in Fukuoka Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Japan Akylbek Kamaldinov participated in a ceremony of inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of our country in Kyushu region - one of the most industrially developed and scientific-technological centers of Japan.

From the Japanese side the event was attended by the governor of Fukuoka Prefecture, mayor of Fukuoka, representatives of ministries of foreign affairs and economy, trade and industry as well as business and academic communities, mass media etc.

Vice President of Kyushu Electric Power Company Yasumichi Hinago was appointed Honorary Council of Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Office says.

Delivering a speech the Kazakh Diplomat acquainted the participants with the results of Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship, in particular, the recent Summit of the Organization held in Astana and the contribution of Kazakhstan and its Leader to ensuring global and regional security including the sphere of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.

Touching upon the country's economic development, the Ambassador informed the attendees of the course of implementation of the State program of forced industrial-innovative development, having called the Japanese businessmen for strengthening investment and technological cooperation with Kazakhstan.

The Honorary Consulate is called to facilitate transfer of Japanese technologies and attraction of investments to Kazakhstan in such sectors as metallurgy, petrochemistry, processing industry and agriculture.
